ABCards and atlantean

Finally looks like Atlantean may be done. (Until Arkhan wants another run) Since I had some 'free' time, I built some rom/ram cards. They work, but my CD stuff is 'in the shop', so I can't test the modified bios yet. And, hopefully we will have a surprise or two for CCAG this year. It's not until Ju...

Re: Flaming Intro

Something like that might have worked, but planning the tiles and palettes would be a pain, and I really didn't have a lot of (real-life) time to do it in. Since it was for a title screen, it could have taken most of the cpu time; as long as there was time enough to read and decode the joypad, the r...

Re: Flaming Intro

It also needed to be done in 2K.

I could possibly do it now, since I know a bit more about how the boot works. But PP is out, and I have other things I'd rather do. Kinda lost interest in this....

Re: Flaming Intro

Was looking for something more flame-like. And sprite based. The idea was to put it behind the Aetherbyte logo, and have the flickering flames show through.

I couldn't get anything I liked, though. Everything came out more like glowing plasma than flames. :(

Re: Squirrel 3.0 - Undefined symbol in operand field

That would be the debug variables I left in (oops). You did declare them in your program, right :) Copy-paste them from the test program, and you'll be good to go. Or, alternatively, search startup.asm for those names, and comment the lines out. (There should be an inc and a sta, iirc ) They aren't ...

Re: How do I delay a channel very, very slightly

I also made this vid for myself:
While you're playing, make a video of what you did, exactly. Arkhan keeps treatening to do it, but maybe if you show people how easy it is to go from MIDI to MML, more folks will give it a try :)

Re: How do I delay a channel very, very slightly

Make the part you want to echo a macro, then when you play it: Play the macro in one channel. Play a short rest (ie, r64) and then the macro in a second channel. That way, you know the tracks are exact duplicates, and save space. You can experiment with the rest length, but there is a minimum length...

Re: Troubleshoot this MML!

Nope, you have to specify the panning value (We generally use V31 P15,15 in channel 0 ).
...........
Does this mean it's time to start a 3mle -> squirrel converter ?
